Message from the President
Welcome to the official website of the International Federation of Comparative Endocrine Societies (IFCES). The IFCES was formed in 1989 at the XI International Symposium on Comparative-Endocrinology, Malaga, Spain by an international group of comparative endocrinologists. The founding societies of the IFCES are the Asia and Oceania Society for Comparative Endocrinology, European Society for Comparative Endocrinology, Division of Comparative Endocrinology of the American Society of Zoologists, Japan Society for Comparative Endocrinology and Indian Society of General and Comparative Endocrinology.
During the 18th International Congress of Comparative Endocrinology (ICCE18) to be held at Lake, Alberta, Canada June, 2017 we will welcome the North American Society of Comparative Endocrinology (NASCE) as a participating member of the IFCES. The role of the IFCES is to support the global community of comparative endocrinologists. It accomplishes this by coordinating the planning of the scientific program for, and facilitating the operation of the international meeting that occurs every four years, and helping to the coordinate activities and conferences of the participating societies.
The IFCES does not accept individual membership; membership is obtained by establishing membership in one or more of the participating societies. We hope to develop other roles for the IFCES in supporting the international community of comparative endocrinologists, especially trainees and young investigators. We welcome and encourage your input.
